PROVIDENT FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT 1992

AN ACT to amend the Provident Fund Act, Cap 86-

ENACTED by the Parliament of Tuvalu-

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Provident Fund (Amendment) Act 1992 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister by notice may appoint.

Amendment of s.3 of Cap 86

2. Section 3 of the Provident Fund Act 1984 (in this Act referred to as the principal Act) is amended by repealing the definition of "deduction".

Amendment of s.4(2) of Cap 86

3. Section 4(2) of the principal Act is amended by repealing paragraph (d) and substituting a new paragraph as follow-

"(d) all such deductions from members' accounts that the Minister may require by order under section 5(1)(a)."

Amendment of s.5(1) of Cap 86

4. Section 5(1) of the principal Act is amended by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting a new paragraph as follow-

"(a) such deductions from members' accounts as may from time to time be required by order of the Minister."

Repeal of s.19 of Cap 86

5. Section 19 of the principal Act is repealed.
