MERCHANT SHIPPING (AMENDMENT) ACT 1991

AN ACT to amend the Merchant Shipping Act 1987 by declaring the date on which it took effect and for connected purposes.

Enacted by the Parliament of Tuvalu -

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Act 1991 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1991.

Declaration of effective date

2. (1) The Merchant Shipping Act 1987 (the principal Act) came into full force and effect on 1st June 1988.

(2) Every court of law shall be bound the above declaration.
