1994 APPROPRIATION ACT 1994

AN ACT to authorise an appropriation of moneys out of the Consolidated Fund for recurrent expenditure for the service of the year ending 31 December 1994.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Tuvalu -

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the 1994 Appropriation Act 1994.

Authorization of expenditure

2. The Minister may, by warrant under his hand, authorize the issue from the Consolidated Fund, for the service of Tuvalu for the financial year ending 31 December 1994 of a sum not exceeding eight millions, two hundred and thirty seven thousands and thirty eight dollars ($8,237,038) which sum shall be appropriated in accordance with the schedule for the purposes specified.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
(This memorandum is not part of the Act)

The Act authorises the appropriation of moneys from the Consolidated Fund of Tuvalu in accordance with section 165 of the Constitution. This appropriation amounting to eight millions, two hundred and thirty seven thousands and thirty eight dollars ($8,237,038) will meet the expenditure by the Government in the 31 December 1994 as detailed in the National Budget for 1994 presented to parliament by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.
