1990 APPROPRIATION ACT 1990

AN ACT to authorise an appropriation of moneys out of the Consolidated Fund for the service of the financial year ending 31st December 1990.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Tuvalu-

Short Title

1. This Act maybe cited as the 1990 Appropriation Act 1990.

Authorisation of expenditure

2. The Minister may, by warrant under his hand, authorise the issue from the Consolidated Fund, for the service of Tuvalu for the financial year ending 31st December 1990 of a sum not exceeding Five million, two hundred and one thousand, two hundred and eight dollars ($5,201,208) which sum shall be appropriated in accordance with the Schedule for the purposes specified there.

APPROPRIATION OF AUTHORISED EXPENDITURE

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

This Act authorises the appropriation of moneys from the Consolidated Fund of Tuvalu in accordance with section 165 of the Constitution. This appropriation amounting to $5,201,208 will meet the expenditure by the Government in the financial year ending 31st December 1990 as detailed in the National Budget for 1990 presented to Parliament by the Honourable Minister for Finance and Commerce.
