COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) ACT 1994

AN ACT

TO AMEND THE COMPANIES ACT

[9th November, 1994.]

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Act 1994.

(2) The Companies Act (Cap. 27) is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 68 of the Principal Act is amended by -

(i) deleting from subsection (1) the words and figure "a registration fee of $10" and substituting therefor the words "the appropriate fee prescribed under the Companies Rules";
(ii) deleting from subsection (4) the figures "$100" and "$10" and substituting therefor the figures "$2000" and "$40" respectively;
(iii) deleting from subsection (6) the figure and words "50 seniti or such smaller fee as may be prescribed" and substituting therefor the figure "$5."
