AN ACT

TO REPEAL THE FIJI SUGAR CORPORATION LIMITED ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands -

Short title and commencement

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited (Repeal) Act 2005.

(2) This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Minister by notice in the Gazette.

Repeal of Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited Act

2.-(1) The Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited Act (Cap. 209) is repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (l), the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited is preserved and shall continue and be deemed to be a company wholly incorporated under the Companies Act after the commencement of this Act.

(3) At the commencement of this Act, any right, interest, obligation or liability of the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited, existing before the commencement of this Act continues as if the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited Act had not been repealed.
