VANUATU NATIONAL PROVIDENT FUND
(AMENDMENT) ACT

NO. 30 OF 2000

An Act to amend the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act [CAP. 189] (the "Principal Act").

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:

Amendment of section 16B

1. Section 16B of the Principal Act is amended by:

(a) deleting from the section heading "ONE HALF" and substituting "AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING 20%"; and
(b) deleting from subsection (1) "one half" and substituting "an amount not exceeding 20%".

Commencement

2. This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 January 2000.

VANUATU NATIONAL PROVIDENT FUND

(AMENDMENT) ACT NO. OF 2000

Explanatory Note

The Bill amends the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act to bring section 16B of that Act into line with the amendments made to the Act earlier in the year that reduced the amount required to be forwarded to the Funds Manager from one half of the moneys belonging to the Fund to an amount not exceeding 20% of such moneys.
