IMPORT DUTIES (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT) ACT

NO. 9 OF 2000

An Act to amend the Import Duties (Consolidation) Act [CAP 91].

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE 1

1. Schedule 1 to the Import Duties (Consolidation) Act [CAP 91] is amended by deleting from that Schedule the rate of duty corresponding to the tariff item in Column 1 of the Table and substituting the rate of duty in Column 2 of the Table corresponding to that tariff item.

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act commences on 1 April 2000, except the amendment dealing with tariff item 3604.1000 which is taken to have commenced on 1 December 1999.
