REPUBLIC OF VANUATU

CONVENTION AGAINST ILLICIT TRAFFIC IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES ACT
NO. 27 OF 2001

An Act to provide for the ratification of the Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Ratification

(1) The Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances adopted on 19 December 1988 by the United Nations Conference for the Adoption of a Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances a copy of which is set out in the Schedule is hereby ratified.

(2) The Convention is binding on the Republic of Vanuatu in accordance with its terms.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
