BUSINESS LICENCE (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 29 OF 2001

An Act to amend the Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendments

The Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 January 2002.

(a) Delete “5 100”(wherever occurring), substitute “5 253”;

(b) Delete “10 200”(wherever occurring), substitute “10 506”;

(c) Delete “20 400”(wherever occurring), substitute “21 012”;

(d) Delete “91 800”(wherever occurring), substitute “100 000”;

(e) Delete “204 000”, substitute “210 120”;

(f) Delete “306 000”, substitute “315 180”;

(g) Delete “5 100 000”, substitute “5 253 000”;

(h) Delete “2.00%” (wherever occurring), substitute “5.00%”.

Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998 so as to increase fees payable under the Act.

Minister of Finance and Economic Management
