An act to amend the Beer Act No. 53 of 1989

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment

The Beer Act No. 53 of 1989 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 January 2002.

1. Schedule 1

Delete “VT 83 per litre”, substitute “VT 100 per litre”.

Explanatory Note

The Bill amends the Beer Act No. 53 of 1989 by increasing the rate of duty on beer brewed for sale from VT 83 per litre to VT 100 per litre.
