Citation and Commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Tuvalu Electricity Authority Corporation (Amendment) Act 1991 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may by notice appoint.

Amendment of Act 7 of 1990

2. The Tuvalu Electricity Authority Corporation Act is hereby Act is hereby amended by:

(1) deleting the word “Authority” where it appears in the long title;

(2) deleting the word “Authority” in section 1;

(3) deleting the name “Tuvalu Electricity Authority Corporation” wherever it occurs elsewhere in the Act and substituting therefore the name “Tuvalu Electricity Corporation”.

Saving

3. Any reference in any document or elsewhere to Tuvalu Electricity Authority or to Tuvalu Electricity Authority Corporation shall be deemed to be a reference to Tuvalu Electricity Corporation.
