OFFICIAL SECRETS (AMENDMENT) ACT 2001

AN ACT TO AMEND THE OFFICIAL SECRETS ACT

I assent,

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Official Secrets (Amendment) Act 2001.

(2) The Official Secrets Act (Cap. 5) is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 3(1) of the Principal Act is amend by deleting "$1000" and substituting therefor "$5000".

3. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting "$2000" and substituting therefor "$10,000".

Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 13 day of September, 2001.
