AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUE OF DUPLICATE RECEIPTS BY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS

[2nd November, 1961]

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as The Duplicate Receipts Act.

Duplicate receipt may be issued.

2. A person who has paid money to a Government department and who demands a duplicate receipt for the payment for the reason that the original receipt has been lost or destroyed shall be given a duplicate receipt for the amount paid if the payment is admitted and the applicant pays to the department a fee of $0.20.
