AN ACT to prescribe the terms and conditions of service of holders of Constitutional Offices and to repeal the Constitutional Offices (Salaries) Act 1978.


ENACTED by the National Parliament of Solomon Islands.

SCHEDULE


Short title and commencement.


1. This Act may be cited as the Constitutional Offices (Terms and Conditions of Service) Act 1987, and shall come into operation on such day as the Minister may appoint by notice published in the Gazette.


Salaries.


2. The Minister may by order prescribe the annual or daily salary, as the case may be, that shall be paid to the holder of an office specified in the Schedule.

3. The Minister may make regulations in respect of the terms and conditions of service (including housing and transportation) to which the holder of an office specified in the Schedule is entitled.


Payments charged on Consolidated Fund.


4. All payments required by virtue of the provisions of this Act shall be charged and defrayed out of the Consolidated Fund.


Repeal of Act No. 6 of 1978.


5. The Constitutional Offices (Salaries) Act 1978 is hereby repealed.
