ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS.

1. Transfer of Assets, etc., of the Foundation.
2. Repeal.

AN ACT

entitled

South Pacific Games (1991) Foundation (Repeal) Act 1996,

Being an Act to repeal the South Pacific Games (1991) Foundation Act 1989, and for related purposes,

MADE by the National Parliament.

1. TRANSFER OF ASSETS, ETC., OF THE FOUNDATION.

Whereas, as authorized by Section 34(2) of the Principal Act, the Foundation has made an arrangement whereby the assets and liabilities of the Foundation be transferred to the Papua New Guinea Sports Commission established by Section 2 of the Papua New Guinea Sports Commission Act 1992, therefore all assets held by and all liabilities of the Foundation immediately prior to the coming into operation of this Act are, on that coming into operation, so far as not already transferred, hereby transferred to and become assets and liabilities of the Papua New Guinea Sports Commission.

2. REPEAL.

The following Acts are hereby repealed:-

(a) South Pacific Games (1991) Foundation Act 1989;
(b) South Pacific Games (1991) Foundation (Amendment) Act 1991.
