ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS.

1. Amendment of the commencement clause of Excise Tariff (Tariff Reform 1999) Act 1998.
2. Amendment of Schedule 1.

AN ACT

entitled

Excise Tariff (Budget Provisions 1999) Act 1998,

Being an Act to amend -

(a) the Excise Tariff Act (Chapter 107); and
(b) the Excise Tariff (Tariff Reform 1999) Act 1998,

MADE by the National Parliament to be deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 1999.

1. AMENDMENT OF THE COMMENCEMENT CLAUSE OF EXCISE TARIFF (TARIFF REFORM 1999) ACT 1998.

The commencement clause of the Excise Tariff (Tariff Reform 1999) Act 1998 is amended by repealing the word and figures "1 January 1999" and replacing them with the following -

"1 July 1999".

2. AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE 1.

Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by repealing the words and figures "Excise Tariff Rate effective on and from 1 January 1999" and replacing them with the following:-

"Excise Tariff Rate effective on and from 1 July 1999".
