CINEMATOGRAPH (CENSORING) REGULATIONS 1966

PURSUANT to the power and authority vested in me by the Cinematograph Ordinance 1949, No.37, I, LYLE ALLEN SHANKS, Resident Commissioner of Niue, hereby make the following regulations:

Regulations


1. Title - These regulations may be cited as the Niue Island Cinematograph (Censoring) Regulations 1966.

2. Commencement - These regulations shall come into force on the first day of October, 1966.

3. Interpretation - In these regulations "Ordinance" means the Cinematograph Ordinance 1949.

4. Certain educational films exempted from censorship - All films of an educational nature receive and shown by the Niue Education Department and emanating from the New Zealand National Film Library shall be deemed to be suitable for general exhibition and shall be exempt from censorship under Part III of the Ordinance.
