AN ACT

to amend the Ministry of Justice Special Revenue Fund Act, 1989 (11 MIRC Ch. 8) by inserting new language to provide for a ceiling for the Fund; and for related matters.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE NITIJELA OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS:

Section 1. Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Ministry of Justice Special Revenue Fund (Amendment) Act, 2006.

Section 2. Amendment.

The Ministry of Justice Special Revenue Fund Act of 1989 is hereby amended by inserting a new section immediately following section 803 to read as follows:

§803A. Fund Ceiling.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, total deposits in the Fund shall not exceed the sum of $150,000 in any one fiscal year. The Secretary of Finance is hereby authorized to deposit all funds received in excess of the ceiling set out herein to the General Fund.

Section 3. Effective Date

This Act shall take effect on the date of certification in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedures of the Nitijela.

CERTIFICATE

(1) That Nitijela Bill No: 110 was passed by the Nitijela of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on the 19^th day of October, 2006; and

(2) That I am satisfied that Nitijela Bill No.: 110 was passed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Rules of Procedures of the Nitijela.
