EXTENSION OF THE PUBLIC EMERGENCY REGULATIONS 2009


WHEREAS the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 were made pursuant to the Public Safety Act on 10th day of April 2009 and came into force for a period of 30 days at 1200 hours on that day; and


WHEREAS the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 were thereafter extended pursuant to the Public Safety Act for further periods of 30 days on the 9th day of May and the 8th day of June 2009.


NOW THEREFORE, I, Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda, President and Commander in Chief of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, hereby extend the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 for a further period of 30 days with effect from 1200 hours on 8th day of July 2009.


GIVEN under my hand this 8th day of July 2009.
