Land Transport (Fees and Penalties)
(Amendment) Regulation 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 113 of the Act, and after consulting with the Authority, I make these Regulations -

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Land Transport (Fees and Penalties) (Amendment) Regulations 2009.

Section 2 Prescribed Fees — amended

2. Section 2 is amended by adding after paragraph 3 the following new paragraphs:

Road User Levy Prescribed Fees

3.—(1) The following are exempted from paying the "Road User Levy prescribed under the Act or any other regulations made under it —

(a) 'The President and Vice President of the State;

(b) The Government of another Country, or an institution, or to whom Section, Section 12(1) or section 12(2) of the Diplomatic Privileges Immunities Act applies;

(c) National Fire Authority;

(d) St. John Ambulance;

(e) Red Cross Association;

(f) All registered Non-Governmental Organizations;

(g) Crippled Children Society;

(h) Boarding Homes operated by registered churches

(2) Any authority, institution or person exempted under any other written law".

Saving

3. These Regulations do not affect any pending prosecution before a Court far an offence committed prior to the date of these Regulations.
