Customs (Prohibited Imports and Export)
(Amendment) Regulations 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 64 of the Customs Act 1986, I make these Regulations -

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Prohibited Imports and Exports) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and comes into force on the 1st of June 2009.

Section 4 amended

2. Schedule 4 of the Customs (Prohibited Imports and Exports) Regulations 1986 is amended -

(a) by deleting "Permanent Secretary for Trade, Business Development and Investment" and substituting it with "Permanent Secretary responsible for Trade or any other person authorized by the Permanent Secretary to act on his or her behalf";

(b) by deleting tariff items 2710.00.91 and 2710.00.99 in item No. 1 and substituting with tariff items 2710.19.10 and 2710.19.20 respectively; and

"2. Gas-oil (diesel) having sulphur content exceeding 500ppm classified in Tariff item 2710.11.32 in Schedule 2 of the Customs Tariff Act 1986."
