AN ACT

TO AMEND THE TRAFFIC ACT. (8/92)

[1 January, 1993]

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji.

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Traffic (Amendment) Act, 1992 and shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1993.

Amendment of Section 86 of the Traffic Act

2. Subsection 1 of Section 86 of the Traffic Act, hereinafter referred to as the Act, is amended by inserting the following immediately after paragraph 43 :-

"(44) to regulate and control the operation of carriage of persons on goods vehicles and trailers.

"(45) any other matters required to be prescribed by this Act or which may appear to the Authority expedient for the better carrying out of the provisions of the Act".

Passed by the House of Representatives this ninth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-two.

Passed by the Senate this sixteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-two.
