Sugar Industry Act (Amendment) Decree 1991

SUGAR INDUSTRY ACT (AMENDMENT) DECREE, 1991

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

l. This Decree may be cited as the Sugar Industry Act (Amendment) Decree, 1991.

Section 35 of the Sugar Industry Act amended

2. Section 35 (4) of the Sugar Industry Act as amended by Section 2 of the Sugar Industry Act (Amendment) Decree, 1990 is amended by deleting the word ‘nine’ in the second line of the proviso and substituting the word “twelve” thereto.

Coming into force

3. This Decree shall he deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of January 1991.
