Royal Fiji Military Forces Act (Amendment) Decree 1992

GOVERNMENT OF THE SOVEREIGN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF FIJI

DECREE NO. 20 OF 1992

ROYAL FIJI MILITARY FORCES ACT (AMENDMENT) DECREE, 1992

A DECREE TO AMEND THE ROYAL FIJI MILITARY FORCES ACT

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Royal Fiji Military Forces Act (Amendment) Decree, 1992.

Interpretation

2. In this Decree, the Royal Fiji Military Forces Act (Chapter 81) is referred to as "the principal Act".

Section 8(1) of the principal Act amended

3. Sub-section (1) of Section 8 of the principal Act is amended by substituting the words "fifty five" for the words "forty five" in the fourth line.

Section 9 of the principal Act amended

4. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended by substituting the words "fifty five" for the words "forty five" in the third line.

Made this 27th day of March 1992.
