RESERVE BANK OF FIJI (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1995

AN ACT
TO AMEND THE RESERVE BANK OF FIJI ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji-

Short title and commencement

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Reserve Bank of Fiji (Amendment) Act, 1995.

(2) This Act shall come into force on a date appointed by the Minister and published in the Fiji Republic Gazette.

Section 58 of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act amended

2. Subsection "(2)" of Section "58" of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act is repealed and substituted as follows-

"(2) Any Section or subsection of this Act may, by order, be made applicable by the Minister to the Fiji Development Bank, after consultation with the Reserve Bank upon a finding by the Reserve Bank that the Fiji Development Bank is engaging as a part of its business in the acceptance of deposits of ' money from the public."

Passed by the House of Representatives this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-five.

Passed by the Senate this first day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-five.
