Prescription of Salaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Decree 1989

REPUBLIC OF FIJI

DECREE NO. 15

PRESCRIPTION OF SALARIES (AMENDMENT) (NO.2) DECREE. 1989

A DECREE TO AMEND THE PRESCRIPTION OF SALARIES ACT

IN exercise of the Powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

l. This Decree may be cited as the Prescription of Salaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Degree, 1989.

Schedule amended

2. The Schedule to the Prescription of Salaries Act is amended-

(a) by deleting in the item relating to the Chairman of the Public Service Commission-

(i) the words and figures "36,137 per annum" and substituting the words and figures "10,000 per annum": and

(ii) the word and figures "Entertainment 300":

(b) by deleting in the item relating to Member of the Public Service Commission the words and figures "4,000 Per annum" and substituting the words and figures 5,000 per annum";

(c) by deleting in the item relating to the Chairman of the Police Service Commission the words and figures "4,000 per annum" and substituting the words and figures "5,000 per annum"; and

(d) by deleting in the item relating to Member of the Police Service Commission the words and figures "4,000 per annum" and substituting the words and figures "5,000 per annum".

Commencement

3. This Decree shall be deemed to have come into force on 1 January 1989.
