AN ACT

TO AMEND THE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji-

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act, 1994.

Interpretation

2. In this Act unless the context otherwise requires, the Public Holidays Act, Cap. 101 is referred to as "the Principal Act"

Section "2" of the Principal Act amended

3. Section "2" of the principal Act is amended-

(a) in paragraph "(a)" of subsection "(2)" by repealing it; and

(b) by amending paragraphs "(b)", "(c)" and "(d)" of subsection "(2)" as paragraphs "(a)", "(b)" and "(c)" respectively.

Schedule to the Principal Act Amended

4. The schedule to the Principal Act is amended by deleting the expression "The anniversary of the birth of the Heir to the Throne."

Passed by the House of Representatives this 25th day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-five.

Passed by the Senate this 17th day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-five.
