NATIVE LAND TRUST ACT (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2009

(DECREE NO. 31 OF 2009)

A DECREE TO AMEND THE NATIVE LAND TRUST ACT (CAP. 134) TO MAKE NEW PROVISION FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF THE NATIVE LAND TRUST BOARD

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as Vice-President of the Republic of Fiji by virtue of the Office of the Vice-President and Succession Decree 2009 I hereby make the following Decree:

Part 1 — PRELIMINARY

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Native Land Trust Act (Amendment) Decree 2009.

Part 2 — AMENDMENT OF THE ACT

Section 3 amended

2. Section 3 of the Native Land Trust Act (Cap. 134) is amended in subsection (1) by deleting "Great Council of Chiefs" and substituting "Minister for Indigenous Affairs".
