Land Transport Act (Commencement) (Amendment) Decree 2000

LAND TRANSPORT ACT (COMMENCEMENT) (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2000

(Interim Civilian Government Decree No. 12)

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 9 of the Interim Civilian Government (Establishment) Decree 2000 and acting on the advice of the Cabinet, I, Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama MSD, jssc, psc, Commander and Head of Government hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Land Transport Act (Commencement) (Amendment) Decree 2000.

Commencement of Act

2. Parts III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX of the Land Transport Act 1998 commence on 10^th July, 2000.

3. The Land Transport Act (Deferment of Commencement Date) (Amendment) Decree 2000 (Interim Military Government Decree No. 9) is repealed.

Made in Suva this 7th day of July, 2000.
