A DECREE TO AMEND THE LEGAL PRACTITIONERS ACT

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Legal Practitioners Act (Amendment) Decree 1991

2. Section 4(a) of the Legal Practitioners Act is deleted and replaced by the following:

"(a) he is a citizen of Fiji or a Commonwealth country;"

Commencement

3. This Decree shall be deemed to have come into force on the 7th day of October 1987.

Made this 4th day of September 1991.
