DECREE NO. 1

JUDGES' REMUNERATION AND EMOLUMENTS (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) DECREE 1989

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting on the advice of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. I hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

l. This Decree may he cited as the Judges’ Remuneration and Emoluments (Amendment) (No. 2) Decree 1989.

Amendment to section 2 of the Act

2. Section 2 of the Judges Remuneration and Emoluments Act is amended by inserting after subsection (3) the following-

"(4) An ad hoc Justice of the Supreme Court other than a Justice of Appeal shall be paid a per diem of $250 when so engaged in any session of the Supreme Court of Fiji".

Coming into force

3. This Decree shall come into force on 1st of January 1990.
