INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT LOAN DECREE 1990

A DECREE TO AUTHORISE THE GOVERNMENT TO RAISE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT A LOAN OF UP TO AN AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO 16.2 MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS FOR THE PURPOSE OF LOW COSTING HOUSING

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development Loan Decree 1990.

Authority to raise loan

2. The Minister responsible for finance is hereby authorised to raise from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development a loan of up to an amount equivalent to 16.2 million United States dollars for the purpose of low cost housing administered by the Housing Authority established under Section 3 of the Housing Act.

Loan to be evidenced by instrument

3. The loan shall be evidenced by an instrument under the hand of the Minister or such other person as the Minister may by writing under his hand so empower.
