HIGH COURT (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2011
(DECREE No. 43 of 2011)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Republic of Fiji and the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces by virtue of the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009, I hereby make the following Decree -

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the High Court (Amendment) Decree 2011, and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

Section 22 amended

2. Section 22 of the High Court Act (Cap. 13) is amended by inserting the following new subsection after subsection (2) -

"(3) For the removal of doubt, and notwithstanding anything contained in subsection (1), any amendment made on or after the second day of January, 1875 to the statutes of general application which were in force in England on the second day of January, 1875, shall not apply to Fiji and shall not be in force in Fiji."
