DECREE (NO.40)

HOUSING AUTHORITY LOAN GUARANTEE DECREE (N0.4) 1988

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting in accordance with advice of the Cabinet I hereby make the following decree-

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Housing Authority Loan Guarantee Decree (No. 4)1988.

Government guarantee

2. The Government of the Republic of Fiji shall guarantee the repayment by the Housing Authority of the principal and interest on a loan of 9 million dollars to be raised by the Housing Authority from the Fiji National Provident Fund.

Guarantee to be evidenced by instrument

3. The guarantee issued under section 2 above shall be evidenced by an instrument under the hand of the Minister responsible for finance.
