DECREE NO. 31

HOUSING AUTHORITY LOAN GUARANTEE DECREE (NO. 2) 1988

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the person appointed under section 3 of the Head of State and Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 1988 to perform the functions of the office of President of the Republic of Fiji, I acting in accordance with advice of the Cabinet hereby make the following decree-

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Housing Authority Loan Guarantee Decree (No. 2) 1988.

Government guarantee

2. The Government of the Republic of Fiji shall guarantee the repayment by the Housing Authority of the principal moneys and the payment of interest up to the current rate on treasury bill the total guarantee sum not exceeding 4.5 million dollars in promissory notes to be issued by the Housing Authority.

3. The guarantee issued under section 2 above shall be evidenced by an instrument under the hand of the Minister responsible for finance.
