HOUSING AUTHORITY LOAN GUARANTEE DECREE 1988

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji under subsections (ii) and (iii) of section 4 of the Appointment of Head of State and Dissolution of Fiji Military Government Decree, and pursuant to section 10 of the Finance Decree 1988, I hereby make the following Decree -

1. This Decree may be cited as the Housing Authority Loan Guarantee Decree 1988.

2. The Government of the Republic of Fiji shall guarantee the repayment by the Housing Authority of the principal and interest on a loan of four million dollars, repayable over a period of twelve months at an annual interest rate of 15.125 per cent per annum, to be raised by the Authority from the Fiji National Provident Fund.

3. The guarantee issued under section 2 above shall be evidenced by an instrument under the hand of the Minister responsible for finance.
