HOTELS AID ACT (AMENDMENT) DECREE, 1992

A DECREE TO AMEND THE DATE OF COMING INTO FORCE OF THE
HOTELS AID ACT (AMENDMENT) DECREE, 1991

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Hotels Aid Act (Amendment) Decree 1992.

Interpretation

2. In this Decree unless the context otherwise requires the Hotels Aid Act (Amendment) Decree, 1991 is referred to as "the principal Decree".

Date of coming into force of principal Decree amended

3. Section 4 of the principal Decree is repealed and a new Section 4 substituted as follows:

"Except for the two hotels namely "The Fijian" and "Toberua Island Resort" to which the provisions of this Decree apply from the 10th day of June 1987, the provisions of this Decree shall be deemed to have come into force on 10th January 1989.”

Made this 16th day of March 1992.
