Fiji Judicature Amendment (No. 2) Decree 1987

FIJI MILITARY GOVERNMENT DECREE NO. 18

FIJI JUDICATURE AMENDMENT (NO. 2) DECREE l987.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as Commander and Head of the Military Government of Fiji, I hereby make the following decree:

1. This Decree may be cited as the Fiji Judicature Amendment (No. 2) Decree 1987.

2. Amend the Fiji Judicature Decree 1987 by deleting section 2 (1) and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(1) There shall be a Judicial Advisory Committee which shall consist of three persons, one of whom shall be the Chairperson who shall be the Attorney-General. They shall be appointed to the said Committee by the Commander and Head of the Fiji Military Government.

(2) Amend section 9(9) by deleting the words and figures sixty (60) and replacing it with seventy-five (75).

(3) Delete Schedule 1 and insert in lieu thereof the following:

3. This Decree shall come into force on 27th October 1987.
