ORDER IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE HONOURABLE CHIEF JUSTICE
OF THE HIGH COURT OF THE COOK ISLANDS

IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PURSUANT to Section 14 (1) of the Welfare Act 1989, His Excellency the Chief Justice, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ANALYSIS

ORDER

1. Title and Commencement - (1) This Order may be cited as the Welfare (Child Benefit) Order 2004.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 1^st day of July 2004.

2. Lump sum payment in respect of new born child - A lump sum payment shall be payable pursuant to Section 14 (1) of the Welfare Act 1989 and shall be calculated as from the 1^st day of July 2004, at the rate of an allowance not exceeding $200.

3. Revocation - The Welfare (Lump sum payment in respect of new born child) Order 1995 is hereby revoked.
