At Avarua, Rarotonga this 15^th day of November 2005

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE QUEEN’S REPRESENTATIVE
IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PURSUANT to Section 41 of the Welfare Act 1989, His Excellency the Queen’s Representative, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ANALYSIS

1. Title and Commencement
2. Rate of Old Age Pension
3. Revocation

ORDER

1. Title and Commencement - This Order maybe cited as the Welfare (Old Age Pension) Order 2005.

2. Rate of Old Age Pension - Pension payable pursuant to Section 41 of the Welfare Act 1989 shall be calculated as from the 1^st day of July 2005, at the following rates per month, payable twice monthly-

(a) 70+ years at the rate of $260 per month payable twice monthly;

(b) 65 - 69 years at the rate of $250 per month payable twice monthly;

(c) 60 - 64 years at the rate of $240 per month payable twice monthly.

3. Revocation - The Welfare (Old Age Pension) Order 2004 is hereby revoked.
