ORDER IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Present:

OF THE HIGH COURT OF THE COOK ISLANDS

IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PURSUANT to Section 41 of the Welfare Act 1989, His Excellency the Chief Justice, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

1. Title and Commencement - (1) This Order may be cited as the Welfare (Old Age Pension) Order 2004.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 1^st day of July 2004.

2. Rate of Old Age Pension - Pensions payable pursuant to Section 41 of the Welfare Act 19$9 shall be calculated as from the 1^st day of July 2004, at the following rates per month, payable twice monthly -

(a) 70+ years at the rate of $250 per month, payable twice monthly;

(b) 65 - 69 years at the rate of $240 per month, payable twice monthly;

(c) 60 - 64 years at the rate of $230 per month, payable twice monthly.

3. Revocation - The Welfare (Old Age Pension) Order 2002 is hereby revoked.
