ORDER IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

At Avarua, Rarotonga this 5th day of March 2010

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE QUEEN'S REPRESENTATIVE
IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PURSUANT to Section 4(2) of the Departure Tax Act 2005, His Excellency the Queen's Representative, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following Order:

ORDER

1. Title - This Order may be cited as the Departure Tax Order 2010.

2. Persons exempted - The Second Schedule to the Departure Tax 2005 Act is hereby amended by adding to the list of persons exempted the following -

The Queen's Representative's spouse.

The Head of Mission and members of the diplomatic staff of the New Zealand High Commission at Rarotonga, and the members of their families forming part of their households.

Visiting diplomats on official business and holding diplomatic passports from countries with whom the Cook Islands has diplomatic relations; and members of their families forming part of their households.
