An Act to amend the Crimes Act 1969

(20 January 1971


BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


1. Short Title - This Act may be cited as the Crimes Amendment Act 1970 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Crimes Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).


2. Exposure of person or grossly indecent acts - The principal Act is hereby amended by inserting after section 137 and before section 138 a new section as follows:


"137A. - Every person is liable to imprisonment for any term not exceeding one year who wilfully and obscenely exposes his person in any public place or within the view thereof, or wilfully does any grossly indecent act in any such place or within the view thereof, whether alone or with any other person, or does any indecent act in any place intending thereby to insult or offend any person."
