AN ACT to amend the Public Money Act 1964.

[15th August 1990]

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:-

1. Short title-(1) This Act may be cited as the Public Money Amendment Act 1990 and shall read together with and deemed part of the Public Money Act 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2. Interpretation - Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by omitting the words "Financial year" and the definition of those words appearing immediately after those words and substituting the following:-

""Financial year" –

(a) In respect of any time down to the 31st day of December 1990 means a period of twelve months ending on the 31st day of December;

(b) In respect of the period of time commencing on the st day of January 1991 and ending on the 30th day of June 1991 means that period of time; and

(c) In respect of any time after the 30th day of June 1991 means a period of twelve months ending on the 30th day of June."
