VANUATU NATIONAL CULTURAL COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ACT
NO. 14 OF 1992

An Act to amend the Vanuatu National Cultural Council [CAP. 186].

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF LONG TITLE OF CHAPTER 186

1. The long title to the Vanuatu National Cultural Council Act [CAP. 186] in this Act referred to as the "principal Act" is amended by deleting the words "and for the preservation of public records and archives".

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 3 OF THE PRINCIPAL ACT

2. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1)(a)(iii) by deleting the words "museums, public libraries or archives; and" and substituting the words "museums or public libraries; and".

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 5 OF THE PRINCIPAL ACT

3. Section 5 of the principal Act is amended -

(a) by repealing paragraph (b);

(b) in paragraph (d) -

(i) by repealing the word "and" in subparagraph (ii); and

(ii) by repealing subparagraph (iii);

(c) in paragraph (g) by deleting the words "and archives".

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 6

4. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) by deleting the words "museums, libraries or archives" and substituting the words" museums or libraries".

COMMENCEMENT

5. This Act shall cone into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
