PASSPORTS (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 14 OF 2013

An Act to amend the Passports Act No. 20 of 2009.
Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment
The Passports Act No. 20 of 2009 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
AMENDMENTS OF THE PASSPORTS ACT NO. 20 OF 2009

1 References to Principal Passport Officer
Delete all references in the Act to “Principal Passport Officer”, substitute “Director”

2 Section 1
Insert in its correct alphabetic position:

“Director means Director of Vanuatu Immigration Services appointed under the Immigration Act No. 17 of 2010;”

3 Section 1 (definition of Principal Passport Officer)
Repeal the definition.

4 Section 2
Repeal the section.

5 Section 4B
Repeal the section.
