THE NATIONAL TOURISM OFFICE (AMENDMENT) ACT
No. 21 OF 1989

To amend the National Tourism Office Act No. 4 of 1982.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10 OF ACT No. 4 OF 1982

1. Section 10 of the National Tourism Office Act No. 4 of 1982 is amended by repealing subsections (1) and (2) and substituting the following subsections:-

"(1) The Minister shall after consultation with the office and subject to subsection (2) of this section, appoint a General Manager of the office upon such terms and conditions as he may think fit.

(2) The General Manager who shall be the chief executive of the office and of all its operations, shall be appointed for a term not exceeding five years and may be eligible for re-appointment."

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication the Gazette.
