THE LANDS REFEREE (AMENDMENT) ACT

An Act to amend the Lands Referee Act No. 15 of 1982.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF ACT No. 15 OF 1982

1. The Lands Referee Act No. 15 of 1982 as amended from time to time is further amended by deleting section 4 and substituting the following new-section therefor:

"DECISION OF REFEREE TO BE FINAL

4. A decision of the Referee shall be final:

Provided that any person aggrieved by the decision as being erroneous in point of law may appeal to the Supreme Court within 30 days of the notification by the Referee of his decision to him."

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.
