IMPORT OF MOTOR VEHICLES (CONTROL) (AMENDMENT)
ACT NO. 31 OF 1993

An Act to amend the Import of Motor Vehicles (Control) Act No. 30 of 1992.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows: -

INSERTION OF NEW SECTION 2A INTO ACT NO. 30 OF 1992

1. The Import of Motor Vehicles (Control) Act No. 30 of 1992 is amended by inserting after section 2 the following new section -

"EXEMPTION

2A. The Minister may, in the public interest, exempt any motor vehicle from the requirements of section 2 of this Act."

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
